What files can i safely delete from this folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Bogdan Holban\Local Settings\Temp"

As you can see, is a temp folder in Documents%26amp;Settings. I have about 220 MB here from a total of almost 10 reserved for the C drive and i always "fight" to have space enough to use Defragmenter ( 15%). This is the reason i wonder what extensions should i delete from this folder, since is a temp folder and i know i can safely del files here.

I am asking because in this Temp folder i have in fact very few files that end with .tmp. I also have executable JAR file, for my java applications, Text document, bitmap images, and ( I find strange) files that have at the "Type" column just "File"

What files can i safely delete from this folder "C:\Documents and Settings\Bogdan Holban\Local Settings\Temp"
Temp folders can fill with a lot of junk and temporary files that don't necessesarily have to be *.tmp files. I would say unless you feel that the file is something an application could be using or need to use you should be able to delete most of the contents of that folder. Temp folders usually don't contain system critical files and most applications don't install files they NEED to Temp folders just because of the fact its a "temp" folder and the information in there could be deleted at any time. If any files or folders are being used by the system then it will warn you that the file is in use and cannot be deleted so that would give you an idea of what files you can't delete :)

Also, I would suggest running an Analyze on your PC before you Defragment it. You don't always necessarily have to defrag a PC just to make it run smoother. It is suggested that you run this after installing/deleting lots of information and if you haven't run one in a while. But, just run the Analyze test before performing a defrag just in case you don't really have to perform that at this time.
Reply:why don't you uninstall software? most people have software on their computers that they don't actually use and it will take a much bigger chunk out than temporary internet files. But you can safely delete that entire directory if it so pleases you.

Then download firefox, and never worry about building up a bunch of crap in that folder ever again....
Reply:to free up space and safely delete all temp file go to my computer/drive c/right click then choose properties then do a disk clean up this will get all the temp files together and remove them for you leaving the ones that are needed for operation.
