Can I delete these files under C:\WINDOWS?
You can delete them, but you will not be able to delete the updates and service packs they represent.

Best to make a backup copy of them. Just in case.
Reply:Yes, there all just un-installs, you don't need them!
Reply:start PC with Win98 bootable CD. Start DOS and delete them.
Reply:Instead of manually deleting files. Use a automatic cleaning software like ccleaner or awc personal. This way you do not risk deleting important or necessary files.
Reply:yes. you can delete them. these files are just un-install of your system upgrades or security patches un-install .

you can also remove them by using the ADD/ Remove the programme .
Reply:no do not delete them. if u will delete some of ur applications wont work properly
Reply:Actualy They Are All Wrong You Can Delete Them And You Will Still Be Able To Remove The Updates They Represent Just Delete Them Then Once You Have If Ya Need To Unistall An Update Or Service Patch Then Go To Add Remove Programs In The Control Panel They Will Still Uninstall Even Without Those Archived Copys That You Asked About
Reply:Those are the uninstall files for the Windows updates that are installed on your computer, they are not needed unless you are having problems with updates and you need to uninstall them. If your computer is running fine, then you can delete those files without having any problems. If you have a CD/DVD burner, then you may want to make a backup copy of those files prior to deleting them just in case you end up needing them in the future.
Reply:No they are mostly Windows update files. SP1, SP2 and all the security updates for your windows OS. "PEACE" I run my own PC repair buisness
Reply:YES, you can delete them.

But if you do that, you are not able to uninstall windows patches and servicepacks. if you are sure that all your patches and servicepacks work properly you can remove them. i do that often and i NEVER had any problems.

Good luck
