How do i know and delete the unwanted files from C:/ drive ?
Control Panel %26gt;Add and Remove Programs %26gt;uninstall any programs that you want to delete from there.

You can also go to Accessories %26gt; System Tools%26gt; Disk Clean up and Disk Fragmenter. These two procedures scan your drive and free up unnecessary fragmented files and temporary files that are not needed anymore.
Reply:Use search option to locate the files of the type, name or extension or size etc, and delete the same from the same page.
Reply:if you want to delete te unwanted files permanently select the files and press shift and delete simultaneously or to delete and send it to recycle bin you just select the folder and press delete key
Reply:down load general disk cleaner. simple yet powerful software!
Reply:In "Windows" (in the "Disk Cleanup" program) there must be an option to delete the backup files for uninstalling "Windows". Those files are saved just in case you will ever want to go back to the previous operating system you had. So, if you're decided to keep the OS you have now, you can use that option to delete the old operating system from your hard drive.

Beside of this, you can delete any file you don't need any more (documents, pictures, music, movies etc.).
Reply:u said that u have installed windows xp twice that means u have windows CD wth u try formatting C:\ drive and intall windows again this will 100% work
Reply:USE SYSTEM MECHANIC SOFTWARE ,REGISTERY CLEANER(REGISTERY MECHANIC) .YOUR SYSTEM WILL BE CLEAN.TRY IT...
Reply:Goto start-%26gt;all programs-%26gt; accesories-%26gt;system tools-%26gt; disk cleanup.

choose the drive you want to clean the it'll calculate the no. of unwanted files and then you can choose them to delete
Reply:(1) remove programs of large sizes

(2) try to store minimum data in my documents becuase it also located in c: drive .

(3) change file system to NTFS and compress it.

how to convert ?

search NTFS in help%26amp; support present in start menu.
Reply:Do not delete any files on the root directory of c:\ or any files that you did not create.

1. Empty the Recycle Bin on an ongoing basis.

2. Clear all browser caches and history files.

3. Uninstall any programs that you not use - Add/Remove Programs.

4. If you created files, go through them and delete them - then empty recycle bin.

5. Upload files that you want but don't currently use to CD or DVD's.

DO NOT FORMAT C:\ you will lose all files!
