How i delete DAT file from c drive?
jus right click on the file and select delete option if its not working then go to start menu and select run and type regedit then find out the file or folder which u want to delete, right click on it and select delete option
Reply:if you don't know what it is, don't delete it...could be a system critical file and thats why you can't delete it, some dat files are created by otheer programs and are necessary for their databases to work correctly, some are just files stored for future access....if you can't just right click it and delete it, don't.
Reply:If I remember well, .DAT file is used from Windows. So, while you're into Windows, you cann't delete it.





Make a DOS bootable disc and when you will get into DOS find the file and delete it.





But... you must ALWAYS delete files you know what they are doing.
