i bought this pc from pat. Though i have been able to change the computer name. i have made myself administrator %26amp; have created a folder in my name in c/documents %26amp; settings. but i am not able to delete or change name of the folder pat. whenever i try to change the name or delete, it says it is a system folder %26amp; can not be renamed or moved or deleted. any help.

The PC store has put some utilities in your PC as background service or monitoring. It is common practice such like Sony, Toshiba, or HP. Every PC company does that trying to keep customers' connections. You may check the start up menu and find out what type of the background services are invoked. Check on your task manager and determine which programs are invoked and stop the operation. If you rename the folder, those operations will not find the software location and may cause error messages on operation. Do this step by step, and I don't see any quick on this. Some of the programs may need to be removed by using Control Panel Add/Remove program. Good luck! This is a little bit like chain reaction, and you need to clean up all of the pieces that connected.
Reply:Create a new user with administrator rights then logon with that new user and delete this old one.
