What are the main files or which files i shouldnt delete in the Local Disk C: Drive?

Im trying to free up space in my C: drive (local disk)

which is currently using mroe than half of its memory.

im trying to do this manually because the System tools dont recognize programs that are good but useless.

therefore

im just trying to find out what are the main programs for my computer (assuming that they are the same as the others)

My computer is a dell with a Pentium 4 Processor and

it runs Windows XP

i just need to know either which files i can delete or which files are core to the computer

please and thank you

If you don't know what the files are doing, deleting them could be catastrophic.

Get a bigger disc drive and copy all of your stuff using True Image with the cloning option. And a disc has no memory, it has storage. Memory is RAM.
Reply:If your HDD is half full, you don't have a problem, and eliminating stuff from it won't produce any noticeable improvement in your computer.

If you go to Control Panel%26gt;Add/Remove Programs (double click) and wait several seconds you will see a list of all programs on your computer. Click on each one in turn and you will see when you last used that program. That should help you decide which to uninstall. I must say you are playing with fire and have little or nothing to gain. My recommendation is to leave things as they are.
Reply:You can't delete any of them. They are all vital to your computer.
Reply:don't delete the folder WINDOWS unless you are 100% sure that it won't hurt your computer (which I doubt)
