Or would that all be information that you will need or do need?
Would it be ok to delete C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp?
It should be safe to delete any files in that directory. As the directories name suggests... only temporary files should be sent there.
However, there are some programs that send log files to temp directories and you will not be able to delete them unless you go into safe mode.. but they are not files you would need to worry about going to such lengths to delete anyways.
If you are looking to delete the "temporary internet files" folder contents then the suggested method is via Internet Explorer's TOOLS %26gt; Options %26gt; Browsing History / delete... %26gt; etc...
The "Temp" folder next to it is usually used for programs while they are being installed and what you see are the leftovers that should've been cleaned out but were not... (that, and the logs I mentioned).
Good Luck!
Reply:Usually if its a temp folder, itll be ok to delete, though sometimes its something that you would have liked to keep, so check out whats in the folder first!
Reply:NO! That is a Windows folder used to dump temp files in. You can set up Disk Cleaner to clean those periodically or download and run CCleaner to rid yourself of a lot of garbage files. I would not delete any files/folders except the ones your are responsible for putting there and which may be left over from an application uninstall.

Reply:It is safe to delete it. Some files might refuse because you have a program that is using it. Close down all programs and most of those files can be deleted

Reply:No do not delete that folder. It can mess your computer up and will end up needing to reinstall something. You can clean up the folder by running your disk cleanup program that will remove any un-needed files from that folder and also any other files that are not needed.
Reply:Yes, It is a temporary file, don't delete the folder just the contents
Reply:You can safely delete the files in that directory.
